A Sovereign Debt – Brexit Song and misc. poems for Brexit

A Sovereign Debt – An original Song by Jeremiah Embs for Brexit

A sovereign debt, is owed to them,
those men for us who died.
To keep us free, to keep us safe,
“For Britain!” did they cry.
Upon the fields, and in the sea,
and in the air did they fly.
To keep us free, to keep us safe,
“For Britain!” did they cry.
And what of that? Shall we say?
That all for nought they died?
Or shall we vote, to honour them?
“For Britain!” shall we cry?

Clear Day – An original Poem by Jeremiah Embs for Brexit

Shackled by red tape, regulation, and insanity of nations. Oligarchs, in ivory towers, judging from higher stations. But jobs we need, and peace need we too, on our streets and in our schools, the future for Britain is bleak indeed, if we to our nation be untrue. So “out” we must and without regret we toss aside the bonds, that bound us in the bleakest days to promises unfilled and hopes now long gone. Hope renewed in our nation dear, we’ve nothing now to fear, a brighter day still dawns ahead, behold the day is clear.

Twice I said it – An original Poem by Jeremiah Embs for Brexit

Twice I said it, and once I voted, twice I said it to thee. I voted for Brexit, for the future, of my children wee. One for my daughter, one for my son, one vote had I to spend. Once I voted, but twice I shouted, “For them I Britain mend!” If too I had to vote again, again I’d vote the same. But one vote had I to spend, so I spent it not in vain. “Out,” said I and “Out,” once more. And then cast my single vote. First name first, and last the last, my Christian name upon the ballot I wrote, and for thee my daughter, and thee my son, “Out” I did denote.

Message in a Bottle – An original Poem by Jeremiah Embs for Brexit

To the isle that spanned the seas, whose domain never the sun upon it set, from America we wish thee prosperity, we ask thee humbly vote for Brexit.
